In early 2024, this site was created as a simple experiment: a place to log body weight daily, without interpretation, judgment, or immediate feedback.

The underlying idea was deliberate detachment. By changing the unit on the scale and recording values without assigning meaning to individual numbers, the goal was to reduce the emotional weight accumulated over years of repeated attempts to lose a moderate yet significant amount of weight.

In that regard, the system worked well. It was intentionally minimal, frictionless, and reliable enough to support daily use over an extended period of time. Logging became a habit, and the data accumulated steadily.

Weight trend over time

What it did not provide, however, was sustainable guidance on its own. While the separation of data from short-term fluctuations proved valuable, the approach was ultimately insufficient as a standalone method for long-term change.

The interface that once lived here is therefore retired. A different approach is currently being explored, and this site no longer requires an active logging system.

Depending on the outcome of that work, this page may host a different system in the future.
